Parents can register at home to log their child's reading, and once they hit six hours Six Flags will be able to deliver the child's ticket directly to the parent's email.
Follow these instructions:
Most Up-to-Date Info:
I will be sending a weekly update on Wednesdays but posting information as I have it on our class website. Any time I add to the class notebook on One Note or have another resource for you, I will put it on the blog. https://mcfarlandkindergarten.weebly.com Class Meeting: We will be attempting to use Zoom to have "class meetings" beginning Thursday, 3/26 at 10:00 AM. Students must have their parents' permission to join. The link for the meeting will be posted in Microsoft Office 365. This Thursday is Day Nine, so the link will be there. Please let me know if you need assistance or would like for me to send the Zoom link directly to you. Morning Announcements: Still's faculty and staff will be posting the WSTL Morning News on the Still website every weekday morning. The announcements can be found at https://web.cobbk12.org/still The announcements are part of the rotating header on the website so if it is not there, wait a few seconds and you should see it. Report Cards: If you are unable to access your child’s report card through ParentVUE or StudentVUE, please let me know and I can email a copy of the report card to the enrolling adult. Digital Lesson Plans: Week 3 of lesson plans will be loaded into the class notebook in One Note before Monday, 3/30. Thankfully, the fourth quarter of Kindergarten is review and extension of what we have already learned in Math, Reading, and Writing. New Science and Social Studies content will be introduced using programs like PebbleGo and BrainPop Jr, or through online stories or resources. Instead of using Forms in Office 365 for typed responses, we will be moving to Word found in Microsoft Office 365. I will make a video with step-by-step instruction. Thankfully, the students had been working in Word at school. Digital Resources: Raz-Kids is a program that we have alongside Headsprout. I have assigned books with activities on your child’s reading level in this program. Your child may also notice that their Headsprout looks different because I moved their level. Boom Learning Cards
I have been eyeballing Boom Learning cards for a while and now just seems to be the right time to get it for our class. The program can be used on a computer, tablet, or smart phone and the cards are a bit more controlled than some of the online games. Looking for some safe screen time? Have your child use Boom. I will be adding more decks of cards as we go. Your child's username is in their One Note notebook (see picture below). If you are having a hard time accessing One Note or simply don’t feel like going that route to get the username, email me and I will send you your child’s. All passwords were set to 1234. www.boomlearning.com OR Boom Cards in app stores Did you see the new tab? Check out "DIGITAL LEARNING" for information, login information, and lesson plans.
Report cards should have gone home yesterday in the Thursday folders. I have uploaded instructions to access your child's report card digitally into One Note or click on the link below. You will either use StudentVUE or ParentVUE.
