I keep getting the error message that content is not yet available. The problem is that I know the content should be available. Hitting the REFRESH button at the top left corner of the screen seems to do the trick.
Field Trip Money
Due to the cancellation of several field trips, you have two options for the money that you have already paid. Please remember that the original money was collected for the Sleep Hollow field trip for the amount of $13.00. Per county policy, any money that is kept in this account will roll us with the student to reduce the cost for field trips next year. Also keep in mind that it may be quite a while before refunds are able to be processed due to schools waiting for refunds from vendors and bookkeepers not able to process any refunds until staff returns to school. Please respond in email to Mrs. McFarland as to which option you prefer to take:
Four Day “School Week” Students will have activities available for Monday-Thursday for the remainder of the school year. Fridays will be used to catch up and review the week’s work. Class Meetings Our “class meeting” will now be focused more on learning. We will have a Zoom lesson on Tuesday and Thursday each week starting the week of April 20th. OUR MEETING TIME HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 9:00. (If 9:00 does not work, we can change it to 11:00. Your feedback will be appreciated.) I will hold the meeting open a few minutes over so that the students can say hi to one another. The mini-lessons will be predetermined by the Kindergarten team so if you have two students in Kindergarten, both children may attend one teacher’s lesson. I will continue to put the meeting ID number and password in One Note on the corresponding day, but you can always email me for the link and info. Lesson Plans Weekly activities will now include daily worksheets. These sheets can be printed at home but will not be “turned in” for assessing. We will continue to use the online platforms but would like to offer optional pencil-and-paper work. Monday, Day 16

Please note that this is an optional program and we will not be raising money. The goal this year is to increase movement and promote healthy choices. Our virtual program will be from April 13th to April 25th. If you have students that are jumping rope or completing a challenge, please send me a picture by April 21st. We would like to conclude our program and healthy challenges with a slide show. Please check out my blog for daily updates and activity ideas. My blog: https://stillpe.educatorpages.com/"

We will meet again using Zoom this Thursday at 10:00 AM. I will put the link in the One Note class notebook on Week 3, Day 14. Mrs. Wagley and I discussed making the screen bigger when doing a read aloud so that everyone can see the pages. (We are learning as we go.) Please let me know if you need assistance or would like for me to send the Zoom link directly to you. Morning Announcements: Did you see Mrs. Wagley and Mrs. McFarland this morning??? Still's faculty and staff will be posting the WSTL Morning News on the Still website every weekday morning. The announcements can be found at https://web.cobbk12.org/still The announcements are part of the rotating header on the website so if it is not there, wait a few seconds and you should see it. Lesson Plans: I am looking forward to reading students’ written responses today. I created a video with step-by-step directions for inserting a picture and sharing the Word document with the teachers. We had been working on inserting pictures in the computer lab and then typing a sentence to go with it, so this should not be completely new for your child. Pebble Go and Sharing from Word The plans are intended to be minimal for the students, but there many resources I can send you that you can print out if you feel your child needs some paper and pencil work. (There isn’t much “school work” happening with the little McFarland, so go you if your child is working!) Digital Resources: Raz-Kids is a program that we have alongside Headsprout. I have assigned books with activities on your child’s reading level in this program. Boom Learning Cards: https://wow.boomlearning.com or download the app on your smartphone or tablet; Username: found in One Note class notebook or I can email it to you, Password: 1234 Age of Learning is providing free at-home access to ABC Mouse, Adventure Academy, and Reading IQ. "Hello Still families! I am the K and 1st grade counselor. I hope everyone is well! If you don't already know I teach social emotional lessons in your child's class every other week. I am sending you a virtual power point for your kiddos about worries if you're looking for something else to keep them occupied! It's short and sweet and just a way to still touch base with them! This is completely optional so no worries if you just can't add another thing to your plate! Take care and stay well! I hope to see your kiddos soon! " Kristin Hartzheim [email protected]
